Old Papers, New Beginnings

I think if I told my younger self that this is where I would be in my life right now: in Texas, in college for music, writing a blog post for a website dedicated to my performance and practice, he would probably be proud of me. Maybe a bit confused about the Texas bit, but nonetheless proud. 

This website is going to be where I post my experiences around a variety of concepts I’m interested in, mainly focusing on practice methodology and maintaining a healthy mental state as a musician. To start us off, I thought I’d post a paper I actually wrote in my senior year of high school that talks about the ladder concept and some of the history surrounding mental illness (mostly depression) in musicians…Click the link to read my almost 1 year old work!
