Farkhad Khudyev’s The Sounds of Eternity
1st Violinist and Interviewee
One of the most soul wrenching performances I have ever had the pleasure to be apart of. This is our Maestro’s piece and it is absolutely beautiful. I was also given the honor of being interviewed for the Daily Texan on their video about the premiere.
P. I. Tchaikovsky’s Symphony No. 6, MV. I
Concertmaster
This was my last concert as concertmaster of my high school symphonic orchestra. It’s one of my favorite performances I’ve ever given.
Beethoven String Quartet in E flat major “Harp” Op. 74
2nd Violinist
I used to dislike performing in chamber groups until my dear friend, Ava Cho, asked me to join her quartet over the summer as she hadn’t found a 2nd violinist yet. We practiced out of Asya Meshberg’s Chamber Institute for Young Musicians. Which was one of the most educational and inspiring festivals I’ve ever been to.
Zequinha Abreu’s Tico-Tico no Fubá
Concertmaster
New England Conservatory’s Summer Orchestra Institute (NEC SOI) was another great festival I attended. The amount of cultural diversity in our repertoire warmed my heart and the care of the instructors was uplifting even during our longest days.
